2008 RENAULT JUMP KICKS OFF IN BALMORAL!
The first Renault Jump of 2008 has taken place at the Balmoral Show held at King’s Hall, Belfast this afternoon.
From a field of twenty-eight starters, only three combinations produced double clear rounds and for the first time in the history of Renault Jump the first prize was shared, between Harry Marshall and Clem Mc Mahon of Ireland, both crossing the finishing line in a time of 38.74 seconds. Lucy Buccanan jumped the other double clear of the competition with Britain’s Paul Barker riding Lynn Barker’s fifteen year-old bay gelding Quinton III, taking fourth place with the fastest four faults in the jump off.

Today saw the first public viewing of Renault’s new 4x4 crossover vehicle the ‘Koleos’. The Koleos combines all necessary elements that make it a perfect vehicle for the equestrian market. With uncompromised levels of comfort and cabin space worthy of a compact MPV, the Koleos offers the same reassuring drive on the open roads and motorways as it does when taken off the beaten track.
The Renault Jump series, now in its second year, travels the length and breadth of the country with league points being allocated to the highest placed eight competitors at the remaining nine events staged in England, Scotland and Wales culminating at Royal Berkshire Show in September where double points apply. The next round of the Renault Jump takes place at Devon County Show this Saturday, the 17th May. The coveted prize for the Winner of the 2008 Renault Jump League table winner will be a brand new Renault Koleos.
