Shows for Children on Horses. A person may compete as a Child competitor from the beginning of the calendar year in which he/she reaches the age of 12 until the end of the year in which he/she reaches the age of 14. Riders compete on an individual basis, categorised according to the level of prize money and height of fences - Category C offering the lowest prize money and smallest fences and a Category A show will offer higher prize money and higher fences.
